Right from the start of our relationship with Shepherd Compello, we worked closely together to iterate as many wireframes and mock-ups as needed, to achieve a final website redesign which is sharp, on brand and user-friendly.

We created user stories to establish clear objectives to define their business, design and technical requirements.

And of course, it’s not always about the user. In this case, we’ve provided a platform which is easy to use by both visitors and admin – and that’s essential. Powered by WordPress, Shepherd Compello now have a dynamic and great-looking hub to deliver their marketing content to their target audience.

Security

All websites are vulnerable to hacking and because the issue of web security is becoming an increasingly significant one, creating secure websites is an absolute imperative for us. The recent changes in GDPR make the issue of security even more important. That’s why, during our WordPress development process, we cover all bases and provide everything from strong password enforcement, locking out too many failed login attempts and configuring SSL to brute force protection.

Export / Import

Like many websites, the previous Shepherd Compello website had content and blog posts dating back years. Fortunately, we are able to export all the blog posts into an XML file and seamlessly import them back into the new website, saving our clients considerable time and effort, and enabling them to concentrate on doing what they do best.

Social Media Integration

Having great content is only half the job. Pushing it out to a wider audience is the other, somewhat trickier half. That’s why we implemented a simple social sharing plugin to help users share web pages across the main social channels. Meanwhile, the very popular Yoast WordPress plugin helps control the imagery for each social share, driving traffic back to the site.
